THE MATCH

The Match is the first book in the It Happened in Charleston series by Sarah Adams, New York Times bestselling author of The Cheat Sheet and Practice Makes Perfect. This expanded paperback edition, published by Headline Eternal (Headline Publishing Group) on 2 July 2024, includes a never-before-seen bonus chapter and runs to 301 pages. Evie Jones has dedicated her life - and her very limited funds - to Southern Service Paws, the organisation that matched her with Charlie, the service dog trained to help manage her epilepsy. But the charity is struggling to make ends meet, and it falls to Evie and her longtime mentor to pull off the fundraiser of the century to keep its doors open. Then Evie meets single father Jacob Broaden at a client consultation set up, unbeknownst to him, by his ten-year-old daughter Sam, who has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy and wants a service dog of her own. The sparks between Evie and Jacob are instant - but not the good kind, at first. As Evie helps Sam find her perfect match in a golden retriever named Daisy, and spends more time with Jacob, she finds herself longing for the loving family she never had. A feel-good, closed-door romantic comedy about second chances and the healing power of love.
